About MF

I used to work in a building with a very nice lobby.

The kind with marble floors and a security desk and a coffee cart that charged six dollars for a latte. The kind of building that makes you feel, briefly, like you made it.

I spent several years watching smart people in expensive suits explain, with complete confidence, why the economy was working. The data said so. The charts said so. Bonuses were paid. Lunches were long.

Meanwhile my friends were moving back in with their parents. One was a lawyer. One had a master's degree in engineering. They weren't lazy. They weren't making bad decisions. The math just didn't work anymore and nobody in that building seemed particularly interested in figuring out why.

So I started paying closer attention. Reading the actual reports instead of the summaries. Watching what the institutions did instead of what they said.

Tracking the gap between the version of the economy that gets announced on television and the version that shows up in your bank account.

Millennial Frustration is what happened next.

It's not a politics blog. It' not a news site. It's one person who got a good look at how the machine actually runs and decided to write it down instead of pretending not to notice.

No agenda except the obvious one. No sources except the ones that hold up.

You are not crazy for thinking something is off. It is off.

Stay Frustrated.
